A little insight into what’s happening in our lab.

2024

ISCLB2024 just happened!

We co-organized the ISCLB 2024 in Zurich. This is our community’s prime meeting and attracted people from all over the world. I think everyone had a great time and the science was outstanding. Thanks to everyone who helped to make this happen!

2023

It's again lab retreat time!

We went up near beautiful Creux du Van to spend a day reflecting on the year, ourselves and our science. We also had a lot of fun and enjoyed the great food. Thanks everyone for coming!

International apéro - best lab, best food 👩‍🍳

Emile launched a new edition of our international apéros. Everyone brings what they like best from their home country (or elsewhere). Needless to say that this turned out to be amazing and super fun. Thanks everyone!

Thank you Sarai & co. for organizing this super nice and tasty (!) apéro with food from everyone’s home country. It was nice to see everyone being around.

Little walk in the Taubenloch

Thank you Ursula for this awesome idea to visit the Taubenloch gorge! Do it like the pigeons (“Tauben”) - seek some cool spot to spend the hot days.

Group hike to beautiful Mürren

It felt great to spend again a little time together as a lab. Outdoors is just the best way to do this. Thanks for joining!

2020

A special end of the year

This year has been so obviously difficult for many of us. In science, this is particularly true for MSc students, PhD students and postdocs. Few in-person meetings, no conferences, constraints for working in the lab, worries about owns family, feeling isolated in a country far from home and still some dark clouds on the horizon.

Lab excursion to the Lac des Brenets in the Jura

Vinciane Mossion was our fantastic tour guide for a day full of nice chats, walks, rides with a cute train and a boat. Photos by Ziming Zhong.
